It’s been a busy week on my side of town. Dropped the first episode of my podcast, updating the site, writing for other sites, a voice over gig, and of course the day job has taken up most of my time this week. I’d rather be busy and in constant motion instead of sitting around, twiddling thumbs, watching as dust accumulates on the top of my refrigerator. I see myself playing as hard as Patrick Beverley against Lonzo Ball on the Lakers Opening Night and I love the challenges that are ahead. There’s so much that I want to do but I have to be careful to not overwhelm and burn out before the curtain rises. With such positive feedback for the first episode of my podcast coming my way over the past 48 hours, I have to keep the engine running.
My father used to bump this like crazy in the car and I hadn’t heard since the 90s and what a flashback. This is the first B.G. and he was in the mix before the Hot Boy gained any kind of fame with Cash Money. Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane with “This Beat is Hot” by B.G. The Prince of Rap.
On November 17th, Stones Throw will release NxWorries remix project Yes Lawd! Remixes and I NEEDED THIS LIKE YESTERDAY. I’ve covered Anderson.Paak and Knxwledge in the past on this blog and I will continue to because they make the best kind of music.
I really hope that situations improve for Puerto Rico sooner than later. No thanks to El Presidente who’s too busy being a flop in the Oval Office to give a damn about anyone other than himself and his twitter account. They need all kinds of supplies and most importantly they need power. I read an awesome article on Inc. about Elon Musk’s solution to Puerto Rico’s problem and I hope that he’s able to make something happen.
Speaking of Puerto Rico, The best charities to donate to for victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico is a great place to start if you are looking to help out. I donated via Tidal x Brooklyn a few weeks ago because I was sure of the destination of where I’d sent my money.
