The D.O.C. is and will always be a legend. “It’s Funky Enough” and “The Formula” from his debut album No One Does It Better were my first introduction to the Dallas born emcee. Back in 1989, The D.O.C. was poised to make a nice run until he lost his voice in a car accident. I would see his name here and there over the years but it wasn’t until I started to learn more about N.W.A. that I understood the importance of his songwriting and his contribution to the group’s success. The D.O.C. sat with Sway and his morning crew to discuss his career, his relationship with Dr. Dre, N.W.A., his tragic accident and more.
